Wonderful place to stay!
The Chestnut Garden home was such a wonderful place to stay for our Azores visit. The house was spacious and accommodating. The grounds were magical! I’d highly suggest this property!

Un lugar maravilloso
La casa es muy cómoda, limpia y bien decorada, pero lo que hace de este lugar algo único es la finca que es inmensa (más de una hectárea sin duda) y francamente espectacular, con zonas diferentes por explorar, casi un jardín botánico privado sólo para nosotros, y una sensación de vivir en un cuento. También ofrece vistas al mar, a lo lejos pero se ve perfecto. La ubicación es ideal para moverse en la isla para un lado o para otro sin perder tiempo. Nos encantó, muy recomendable.

Great house with an incredible garden
This house has charm. It's clearly well loved with an incredible garden filled with fruit trees and an amazing fire pit and plenty of places for children to explore. The sea view was lovely and it is simply furnished with everything you need. The owners made everything very easy and the door and gate codes were a great touch. They left the basics for us to get started which is always appreciated. My only suggestion would be to provide simple beach towels as we were constantly going to the sea and didn't want to take the bathroom towels! Everything else was great. This is a lovely property and well located for exploring the island in either direction.

Beautiful home
We loved our time at the Chestnut Garden. The grounds are lovely and so serene with the birds and flowers everywhere. We found the home to be quite cozy with comfortable beds and accommodations. Highly recommend staying as it is also in a great location to Ponta Delgada and many other attractions!

Our stay at this serene garden escape was nothing short of delightful. Nestled in a quiet rural setting, the property offered both tranquility and easy access to nearby attractions. The highlight for us was the garden, where we could pick fresh fruits while soaking in the beautiful ocean views. The cottage itself, blending coziness with a modern flair, accommodated our group of six comfortably. It was equipped with everything needed for a relaxing stay—from a well-stocked kitchen and comfy beds to a charming outdoor eating area with a grill. The additional baby crib was a thoughtful touch that made our stay even more convenient. Each room, from the spacious living areas to the peaceful outdoor spots, was perfectly maintained and inviting. Whether it was relaxing under a palm tree or exploring the lush, old-world gardens, our experience was magical. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a peaceful retreat with all the comforts of home.

Fabulous home in tropical fruit garden
We quickly felt like at home. The tropical garden with banana plants and orange trees is magical. The house is cozy and has all we need. André is an excellent host. We would come again.

Magical garden
We had a fantastic stay in the chestnut garden! The private garden filled with fresh fruits was a highlight. The garden was larger than we expected. It was especially magical for our kids (6 & 9) who repeatedly got excited as they discovered yet another unexplored area of the garden.
