A total disappointment and a really bad experience
I rented this house thinking it had a pool because it was listed in the website that it had one. I arrive there and it was a total disappointment as the house is really small. It has a shared garden and that`s it. Also, we were resting on a saturday afternoon and the owner decided that it was a good day to change the tiles on the roof. Never again...

For a short stay okay
We stayed in this apartment for 3 nights. Out stay was okay with a very easy check-in process. The bed was comfortable. Generally the kitchen could use an update as there is a weird smell in the entire house (moldy smell). Therefore i would only recommend it to people who dont want to cook.

Charming house with vintage character!
The location and parking were excellent! Home is quaint and cozy! The garden is spectacular! Check to see the kitchen and commodities before hitting the grocery store! Very good communication with the hosts!

Good location, just needs a few things
We enjoyed our stay here and liked that the house was a traditional Portuguese style home. Good location for exploring the island, and being in Furnas was nice because the hot springs nearby are open until 11:00 in the evening (which is the only time to enjoy them because it's too hot during the day). It is easy to drive in multiple directions for seeing the island. The bedroom and bathroom (and shower) are nice and big. The only negatives are the kitchen utensils -- we enjoy doing light cooking but had a hard time with what was available. I wish there had been a better knife for chopping and a couple more pots and pans. We cleaned up well but still had some trouble with ants (probably typical for island life). Also, one day there was quite a bit of rain and it leaked through the front windows. Not a big deal except there were not any extra towels. For a 7 night stay, a couple extra towels would have been nice. The house had a musty smell others mentioned in their reviews, but there was a dehumidifier that helped. We ran it a lot! There is no AC, so just know that if you are staying in the heat of summer. We were there in early June and it was fine without one. Overall we enjoyed our stay, and definitely loved Sao Miguel!

Great experience
We were a group of 7 (4 adults and 3 kids) and we loved the houses and the garden with all its facilities. The tranquility and beaty of the Island made this week memorable. João was very kind and gave us very useful tips to enjoy the best places in the Island.

Great accomodation to explore Furnas and all East of Sao Miguel
Nice accomodation in the center of Furnas. Well equiped and very pleasant garden. Excellent point to start exploration of Furnas (wlak to the lake, the caldeiras) and good start to go to Pico Vara and the east of the island.

Cute home with nice garden and great bed
We stayed only for a few days, but enjoyed it here very much. The place is small, but very cute and comes with a great comfortable bed and a beautiful garden. Everything went well, communication was easy and I would stay again! The kitchen was a bit small to make elaborate meals, but anyone can cook a pot of pasta easily. Would recommend

Lovely typical Portuguese home for 2
We loved this cozy spotlessly clean vintage style home, lovely bedroom with comfortable queen-size bed, generous bathroom and nice living room with kitchenette that has all you need, fast WiFi, TV, heater for chilly evenings. The garden is beautiful, exotic and nice to watch from the living room when it rains. Restaurants, bars, bakery and grocery shops are right around the corner, quiet and safe neighbourhood. Communication with Joao was easy, he would respond promptly to any message. We agreed on self-check in and received precise, easy-to follow instructions and other useful information. There were some very nice details such as fresh flowers on the table, a welcome gift of bread and cheese, or extra towels for use at the spa that made us feel even more welcome. We had a wonderful time!

Cozy apartment, beautifully furnished with authentic atmosphere and beautiful garden
We were really happy to stay in Joao's place. Unfortunately, we didn't have a chance to meet in person as we had self check-in & check-out, however we didn't have any issues with the communication. Joao sent us great instruction how to find the place and he was always responsive on our questions. The apartment is very cozy, beautifully furnished with authentic atmosphere and beautiful garden :) We had a wonderful stay in Furnas. The location of the apartment is great - it's in central of the Furnas and everything can be reached by walk. We really enjoyed our stay there and we would definitely stay at Joao's place again.

Great Timd
We really felt at home in this lovely appartement. Furnas is a great place to stay with lots of oppurtunities around the corner. The kitchen had everything we needed and the big garden and nice bathroom was perfect. João was really nice and helpful during our stay. We were very happy!
